From the moment Paul saw the Broadway show Camelot, he knew his destiny was to be in the field of lighting. He attributes much of his education to his mentor, Alex Von Saher, who taught him the true art of lighting and gave him the freedom to create on such international shows as Tri Amici and Entré Me.

Paul’s career spans over 35 years and every entertainment genre, from live TV to musical theater. He has been involved with such artists as Crowder, Newsboy, the Oak Ridge Boys, Phil Driscoll, UB 40, Def Leppard, U2, and Genesis. Paul was blessed to spend 28 years of his career at The Carolina Opry Theater beside his best friend, creative partner, and wife, the late Diane “Wendy” Sweetman.
