Sidney Michelle Johnson, the latest addition to The Carolina Opry family, is a homegrown talent from Myrtle Beach, SC. From a young age, Sidney toured the country, singing in churches and at conferences alongside her parents’ music ministry. She proudly carries on the legacy as a second generation performer at The Carolina Opry, a dream inspired by her mother, Kristi Brown Johnson, a standout vocalist in the 1990s at our theater. Sidney, who has always aspired to grace the same stage as her mother, is honored to see this dream come true. Between her guitar and piano skills, 12 years of dance experience, and her beautiful singing voice, Sidney truly makes you wonder how such strong talents can come from someone so young. At just 18 years old, Sidney is a Nashville Recording Artist, working with Mike Rogers, a Grammy-nominated Opry veteran, on her music production. Her debut single, “Out of The Blue,” launched last year and is available on Apple Music and Spotify. Sidney’s deep faith in Jesus guides her, believing her musical talent is a divine gift meant to uplift and bring hope to others.
