A native of Gastonia, North Carolina, David studied Trumpet at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. After college, he performed with traveling productions of “Evita”, “Annie”, and “Chicago”. He played Lead Trumpet for acts such as Ricky Van Shelton, the O-Jays, Fabian, Bobby Rydell, Frankie Avalon, Shirley Jones, and Sandy Duncan. He spent over a decade touring with The Official Blues Brothers Band, The “World-Famous” Glenn Miller Orchestra, The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra and on Cruise Ships Worldwide. Now, after nearly 20 Christmas Seasons here, David has taken over as Production Manager at The Carolina Opry. He most likes to spend his free time with his loving wife, Karina, throwing frisbee on the beach.
