Waves of the Future is Rotary’s celebration of Horry County Schools, showcasing the theatrical talents of children grades K-12 and filling The Carolina Opry Theater with more than 500 students from 16 different schools. 100% of net ticket sales revenue generated by Waves of the Future are donated to Horry County Schools Fine Arts Department. In 2023, over $18,000 went to Horry Schools Fine Arts Programs.
In addition to supporting fine arts education in Horry County Public Schools, Chicora Rotary Club uses a portion of the funds raised to support local charity programs including “Project Happy Feet” and “The Dictionary Project”.
Waves of the Future will be live at The Carolina Opry Theater on Sunday, April 14, 2024.
