The Chicora Rotary presents its 14th annual Waves of the Future celebration of Horry County Schools, showcasing the theatrical talents of children grades K-12 and filling The Carolina Opry Theater with more than 600 students from 16 different schools.
100% of net ticket sales revenue from this event is donated to Horry County Schools Fine Arts Department, raising $18,000 in 2025. In addition to supporting fine arts education in Horry County Public Schools, this “fun-raiser” provides funds for the many local projects that Rotary supports, including community grants, The Dictionary Project, and Project Happy Feet.
