Second Helping: The Original Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute Band is the world’s original and longest-running tribute to the legendary Southern rockers. Since 1988, they’ve been proudly endorsed by members of Lynyrd Skynyrd and remain deeply connected to the band’s legacy. Born out of a friendship with several Skynyrd members, Second Helping was formed at a Lynyrd Skynyrd rehearsal in 1988. Many of the original players worked with them on specific parts—most notably guitar greats Ed King and Randall Hall—with two Second Helping members even performing in Hall’s own band. Delivering a powerful, authentic concert experience, Second Helping celebrates the spirit of Southern rock with unforgettable performances of classics like “Sweet Home Alabama,” “Free Bird,” “Gimme Three Steps,” “Simple Man,” and “That Smell.”
Second Helping: The Original Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute Band will be live at The Carolina Opry Theater on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 7:00pm. Tickets are on sale now – click ‘Get Tickets’ to purchase!
