Darley Newman from Budget Travel magazine researched five family travel options for $100 or less per night, including Myrtle Beach, a Norwegian cruise, and the Dominican Republic.
Kathie Lee: Now, we have affordable travel choices for real budgets.
Hoda: That’s right; from sunny beach getaways to cruises and resorts with plenty of amenities, here with options for anyone looking for a fun-filled vacation that won’t break the bank is Budget Travel Magazine’s contributing Editor, Darley Newman…So, these are affordable, which is what our viewer is really asking about.
Darley: Yes, and affordable meaning under $100 a day, that is a great rate.
Kathie Lee: Can’t stay home for that.
Darley: Better not!
Hoda: Myrtle Beach is one that you chose. So, tell us about that.
Darley: Love Myrtle Beach. First of all, that’s where I’m from, so close to my heart. But, beautiful, wide, sandy beaches, great for multiple generations- grandparents, parents, kids- everyone can have fun there. You can go play skeeball on the boardwalk, go boogy boarding, or have some amazing nightlife. There are so many music options in Myrtle Beach now, from House of Blues to The Carolina Opry. So there’s tons for everyone to do in Myrtle Beach.
Hoda: Where can you stay?
Darley: Well we’ve got the great Westgate Oceanfront Resort. Oceanfront, guys, and it’s $75 and up. There’s a beautiful heated pool, kids eat free, so we know that is nice and family friendly…
