2021 Season to Open April 28 at The Carolina Opry Theater
The Carolina Opry Theater will raise the curtain on the 2021 Season on Wednesday, April 28 with Time Warp at 7pm and The Carolina Opry show following on April 29 at 7pm. The cast has been working on lots of new material and can’t wait to share it with all of our long-time fans. Among the 2021 season shows are our classic Carolina Opry, the Time Warp show, and The Carolina Opry Christmas Special. Gilmore also plans to continue his Myrtle Beach Performing Arts Series on select nights, featuring appearances artists like Gladys Knight, The Russian National Ballet, Ronnie Milsap, sensational tribute groups and more.

Though elements in the shows change each year, one element remains constant: the level of world-class talent and production values that visitors have learned to expect on The Carolina Opry Theater stage. This season welcomes back sensational new vocalist and fan favorite, Rory John Zak and star of NBC’s The Voice, Delvin Choice. Joining them, as always, is hip-hop clogging group All That!, of NBC’s America’s Got Talent, and a cast composed of over 35 of the world’s most award-winning vocalists, musicians and dancers. Expect new songs, fresh elaborate costumes and sidesplitting comedy to delight even those guests who have seen the show many times over.

Directed by Calvin Gilmore’s son, Jeffrey Gilmore, this season’s Time Warp is a fast-paced, high-energy show that brings you the best music of the 60s, 70s and 80s, blended with comedy, accompanied by rich multimedia screens, special effects and elaborate costuming—all performed live by the award-winning cast of The Carolina Opry Show. Produced and directed by award-winning Calvin Gilmore and referred to as “The Christmas Show of the South”, The Carolina Opry Christmas Special is the first Christmas Show in Myrtle Beach and the standard for holiday entertainment in the Southeast. November through early January, The Carolina Opry Theater is transformed into a winter wonderland where the magic of the season comes alive in a dazzling, jolly, and sentimental musical celebration of America’s best-loved holiday.

Gilmore Entertainment and The Carolina Opry have long been the leader of musical variety show entertainment in the Southeast, with the classic Carolina Opry show, retro Time Warp and The Carolina Opry Christmas Special. Gilmore and his shows have been featured by USA Today, NBC Nightly News, Southern Living Magazine, Variety, and a host of other newspapers and television shows. It is the only Myrtle Beach show to receive the coveted South Carolina Governor’s Cup, as well as being voted South Carolina’s Most Outstanding Attraction.
