Job Description:

The Carolina Opry Theater, now in its 36th season, is home to the best shows in the Southeast. The Marketing Assistant will work directly with the marketing director, supporting all activities and objectives of a robust marketing program. Position requires a well-organized individual with a fine attention to detail and experienced computer skills. This is a full time position with benefits.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in Office, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook

• Knowledge of social media platforms

• Ability to create, maintain and manipulate complex spreadsheets

• Flexibility and ability to multi-task

• Attention to detail and thorough record keeping

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus

• Experience with WordPress a plus

• Writing, proofreading, editing and verbal communication skills a plus

Job Responsibilities:

• Answer phones and arrange conference calls

• Manage marketing calendar

• Schedule, place and tracking media campaigns

• Keep detailed minutes in marketing meetings

• Manage social media calendar and postings

• Make additions and updates to WordPress website

• Assist with the production of marketing materials, including printing, proofing, liaising with designers and printers, coordinating delivery, storage and quantity tracking

• Maintain and update media contacts for distributing press releases

• Maintain digital press kits and monitor press for relevant media activity

• Assist the Marketing Director with evaluation of marketing campaigns by maintaining and updating tracking spreadsheets for ads, eblasts, etc.

• Liaison with other departments to ensure communication of marketing campaigns

• Assist in building annual marketing presentation

• Provide administrative aid for marketing projects; scheduling, taking notes, etc.

• Provide personal and administrative support to directors including copying, filing, running errands, coordinating travel, preparing appointments and agendas

• Assist in writing and editing sales and marketing materials, which include articles, presentations, and collateral

• Train and work in the call center to develop an understanding of our ticketing system and customer experience
