| Waves of the Future Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 4:00pm The Chicora Rotary Club of Myrtle Beach will present its first annual “Waves of the Future – Rotary’s Celebration of Horry County Schools.” This inaugural event is modeled after the hugely successful twenty-year program in Wake County, N. C. known as “Pieces of Gold.” It will showcase theatrical talents of children grades K – 12 and follow in the footsteps of other Horry County traditions. This “fun-raiser” will provide funds for the Fine Arts programs in the schools and for the many local and international projects which Rotary supports, including Polio eradication, the Dictionary Program and Project Happy Feet.
